A LOVE STORY AND PEARLS

Born from a passion for marine life and everything that can be found underwater, combined with an eternal desire to create, this is how the adventure of Kalinas Perles began in St. Barth. The brand takes its name from one of the first ethnic groups to populate the Caribbean, with the intention of giving each piece of jewelry its own unique identity.

The fascinating world of pearls offers limitless possibilities in creation: Tahitian pearls are renowned for their iridescent colors, ranging from emerald green to aubergine, while Australian pearls are distinguished by their golden or silver hues. Rarer still, the natural Lambi pearl is known for its striking pink color.

In addition to the meticulous selection of pearls, a unique craftsmanship and the use of high-quality materials, such as hand-rolled kangaroo leather, are combined. Jeremy, the creator of Kalinas and Taïnos, designs his jewelry to last, adapting to every desire. He creates custom-made, personalized, and completely modular jewelry.

Between land and sea, the use of other materials, such as old coins, shells, vegetable ivory, coral, opal, and precious stones, enriches the creations of Kalinas and Taïnos, resulting in unique and original jewelry, each piece carrying a story beautifully told by its creator.

Jeremy was born in Provence into a family of divers, and naturally, from a young age, he became passionate about the fascinating world of the ocean depths and the incredible wonders the sea offers. A few years ago, it was equally natural for him to choose to live on the island of Saint-Barthélemy, a small gem lost in the Caribbean Sea.

There, he created his Kalinas & Taïnos shop with the desire to design jewelry that reflects his personality, using pearls from Tahiti and Australia, shells, and precious stones. Every year, he travels to the other side of the world to find the most beautiful pearls, the finest materials, and other rare objects before retreating to his workshop to let his imagination take over.

For Jeremy, who is attentive and sensitive, the customer remains the primary source of inspiration. Their wishes and desires are the driving force behind his creations, allowing him to offer fully personalized and always unique jewelry.

Located in the heart of Gustavia, on the only cobbled street in the “capital” of St Barthélemy, the Kalinas & Taïnos shop welcomes you year-round from 9:30 AM to 8:00 PM, Monday through Saturday.
