Based in the heart of Gustavia, Saint-Barthélemy, Kalinas & Tainos has been creating jewellery inspired by the sea, travel and natural materials since 2011.

The brand was born from a passion for the underwater world, pearls and the treasures the ocean can reveal. Its name pays tribute to the Kalinas and Taínos peoples, among the earliest cultures of the Caribbean, with the desire to give each piece of jewellery a strong, sun-filled identity that is deeply connected to the island.

A Selection of Cultured Pearls and Natural Materials

The world of Kalinas & Tainos centres around cultured pearls, selected for their lustre, subtle tones and unique character.

We work in particular with Tahitian cultured pearls, prized for their natural reflections ranging from silvery grey to deep green; South Sea cultured pearls, known for their white, silver or golden hues; as well as freshwater cultured pearls, available in a wide variety of shapes and colours.

Some creations may also incorporate conch pearls, shells, kangaroo leather, semi-precious stones, silver, gold or antique coins chosen for their history.

Each material is carefully selected to create distinctive, elegant and lasting pieces of jewellery.

Kalinas & Tainos creations are designed and assembled in Saint-Barthélemy, with a free-spirited, natural and contemporary approach. The Story of Jérémy, Creator of Kalinas & Tainos

Born in Provence into a family of divers, Jérémy developed a passion for the sea, the underwater world and natural materials from an early age.

After several years of creating and travelling, he chose Saint-Barthélemy as his source of inspiration. It was in Gustavia that he developed Kalinas & Tainos, driven by the desire to offer a different kind of pearl jewellery: freer, more personal and closer to the spirit of the island.

His creations combine cultured pearls, leather, shells, semi-precious stones and objects with a story to tell, resulting in jewellery that evokes the sea, the sunshine, travel memories and the relaxed elegance of Saint-Barth.
