Kangaroo leather is a supple material that changes over time. With daily wear, its lifespan is generally around two years, sometimes longer depending on use and care.

Remove the necklace before showering, swimming, exercising and sleeping. Water, perspiration, friction and repeated wetting and drying can dry out the leather and accelerate wear. Also avoid perfume, cosmetics, chlorine and household products on the pearls and amethyst.

If the leather becomes dry or less supple, apply a very small amount of vegetable oil or shea butter to the leather only. Massage gently, then remove any excess with a soft cloth, keeping oil away from the pearls and stone.

Worn leather does not mean the end of the piece: our workshop can replace it while preserving the amethyst and pearls.

Before storing your necklace, gently wipe the amethyst, pearls and leather with a soft, dry cloth. This removes perspiration, cosmetics and other residues that may affect these materials over time, even while the jewelry is kept in its box. Store it flat and separately from other jewelry.

How do I choose my necklace size and fit?

Select the recipient, then S for a slim neck, M for a regular neck or L for a wide neck. Next choose a close, classic or long fit. The necklace is adjustable, so you can fine-tune its length after delivery.

Can I wear my leather necklace in the shower, sea or swimming pool?

Yes, you can! However, we recommend removing your necklace before showering or swimming in the sea or a pool. Water, salt and chlorine, as well as repeated wet/dry cycles, can gradually dry out and stiffen the leather and accelerate wear.

Can I sleep or exercise while wearing my necklace?

It is best to remove your necklace before sleeping or exercising. Friction, tension and perspiration can accelerate wear on the leather and, over time, weaken the jewelry.

How often should I condition the leather?

This depends greatly on the wearer and how often the jewelry is worn. Some people’s skin naturally conditions the leather, while others tend to dry it out.

If you notice that the leather is becoming dry or less flexible, you can lightly condition it. If your skin tends to dry out the leather, conditioning it approximately once a week may be appropriate. A very small amount of vegetable oil or shea butter is sufficient; simply remove any excess with a soft cloth.

What should I do if the leather on my necklace becomes worn or breaks?

Leather naturally wears over time, but this does not mean the end of your jewelry. Our workshop can replace the leather while preserving the pearls, gemstones and other elements of your creation.
